ManyScripts is a web app that turns the spoken audio of a public short-form video into plain text. Paste a link from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or X and the full transcript comes back in seconds, along with AI tools that generate hooks, rewrite the script and analyse how the video is built.
The useful part of a short-form video is almost always the spoken words, and that is the one part you cannot search, quote, skim or paste. Anyone trying to learn from video at any scale ends up doing the same manual work: watching, pausing, retyping.
ManyScripts removes that step. It was built in March 2026 to answer a narrow question well, which is what did this video actually say, and it has stayed narrow on purpose. There is no editor to learn, no upload step and no desktop app. A link goes in and text comes out.
ManyScripts is used by five groups of people, each doing a different job with the same transcript.
Work out why a video performed, then write your own version faster.
Creators use ManyScripts to pull the exact spoken words out of videos that did well in their niche, study how the first three seconds are constructed, and rebuild that structure in their own voice. The Viral Hook Writer and Script Rewriter turn a transcript into five alternative openings and a HOOK / BODY / CTA draft.
Read the script of a competitor's video ad without watching it end to end.
Video ad research is slow because the message lives in the audio. Marketers paste a batch of ad links, read the claims, offers and calls to action as text, and compare angles side by side. Bulk Processing handles up to 100 URLs in one job and exports everything as a single CSV.
Turn a client's video library into something a team can search, quote and report on.
Agencies run whole content libraries through ManyScripts so account managers can search spoken copy, pull quotes for reports, and hand writers a transcript instead of a video link. CSV export drops straight into a spreadsheet or a client deck.
Convert video teaching you already recorded into written assets.
A single recorded training becomes a written guide, an email sequence, show notes or a lead magnet once it is text. Creators with a back catalogue use bulk mode to convert a term's worth of recordings in one pass rather than retyping by ear.
Quote video accurately, and make spoken content readable.
Transcripts remove the guesswork from quoting someone on camera, and they make video content searchable and screen-readable. Transcripts can be returned in the original spoken language or in English, so non-English sources stay usable.
ManyScripts reads a video's existing captions where the platform publishes them, and falls back to AI transcription of the audio where it does not.
Copy the video URL from the platform's share menu or address bar and drop it in. Nothing is uploaded from your device.
Where the platform already publishes a caption track, that is used. Where it does not, the audio is transcribed with AI.
Copy the text, download it, or run the AI tools to generate hooks, restructure the script or analyse the video.
ManyScripts supports six video platforms. Only public videos can be transcribed.
ManyScripts is free to use up to a daily limit, and $10 per month or $49.99 per year without one.

Some videos will never extract, and it is fairer to say so up front than to let you find out one link at a time.
Private videos do not work. If a video only plays for people signed in to the platform, or sits in a closed group or private profile, ManyScripts cannot reach it.
Videos with no speech produce nothing. Music-only clips and silent footage have no spoken words to transcribe.
Deleted and geo-restricted videos fail. If the link does not play in a logged-out browser tab, it will not extract.
Transcription is automatic, not human-verified. Accuracy is high on clear speech and drops with heavy background noise, crosstalk or strong accents.
ManyScripts is not a video downloader. It returns the spoken words as text and does not give you the video file.
Anh Nguyen
Founder and sole operator
ManyScripts is built and run by Anh Nguyen, working independently. There is no agency behind it and no venture funding. The person who writes the code is the person who reads the bug reports, which is the main reason fixes tend to ship the same week they are reported.
That also sets the priorities. Most of the work since launch has gone into the unglamorous half of the product: detecting when a platform changes and breaks extraction, explaining failures in plain language instead of an error code, and making sure a video that cannot be transcribed says why.
Questions, bug reports and feature requests go to hello@manyscripts.com, which reaches Anh Nguyen directly.
Transcripts are cached for a short period so re-running the same link does not charge you or the platform twice.
Site analytics are first-party and cookieless. No IP address is stored and no third-party tracker is loaded.
Any platform session cookies you choose to connect are encrypted and used only to fetch videos on your behalf.
The privacy policy covers retention periods and your rights in full.

Yes. You get 1 transcript per day with no account at all, and 5 per day with a free account. Pro removes the daily cap and costs $10 per month or $49.99 per year.
No. ManyScripts runs in the browser. There is no app, no browser extension and no file upload. You only need the video's public URL.
TikTok, YouTube including Shorts, Instagram Reels and video posts, Facebook video, Reels, Watch and Live replays, LinkedIn video posts, and video posts on X (Twitter).
Yes. You can request the transcript in the original spoken language, or choose English mode to get English captions or an AI translation of what was said.
The usual causes are that the video is private or restricted to signed-in viewers, that it contains no speech, or that it has been deleted or geo-blocked. If the video does not play in a logged-out browser tab, ManyScripts cannot read it either.
Yes. ManyScripts publishes an MCP connector, so an AI assistant that supports MCP can extract a transcript for you directly in the conversation.

Email hello@manyscripts.com. That address reaches Anh Nguyen, who builds and runs ManyScripts, so support questions and bug reports go straight to the person who can fix them. There is also an in-app feedback widget on every page.
